Laziness is the "enemy" of orderliness, but being lazy intelligently will help you achieve your goals without wasting any effort or time.

A messy work corner with many types of messy cables, piled up furniture, dusty laptop keyboards and overdue paperwork... is certainly a "scene" that is no longer unfamiliar to many people. Like me, I had to spend time every day cleaning the corner "to meet the deadline", because cleaning was tiring and if I didn't clean, I wouldn't be in the mood to work.

But since applying the simple tips below, I have cut down a lot of cleaning time and my desk is always neat and clean.

One - Minimize the source of dust, use accessories to protect and prevent dust

First, I remove all dust-prone items such as foot mats and soft mouse pads to minimize dust sources. When not using the laptop, I also close it to prevent dust from accumulating.

For my laptop, I equip myself with a lot of protective accessories to prevent dust. From keyboard covers, screen protectors to dust-proof buttons to cover the connection ports on the machine. These accessories are very cheap, only from a few thousand to a few tens of thousands of VND each, but they are very effective.

Many types of screen protectors also help protect laptop screens from scratches, some types also have the ability to resist fingerprints and minimize glare. Keyboard covers are usually made of waterproof silicone. When you need to clean, you just need to remove it and wipe it clean, much more convenient and effective than having to work hard to clean each key and small crevices on the keyboard.

Two - Cut down and simplify your stuff.

Previously, my desk was cluttered with stuff, especially messy cables that not only easily collected dust but also made it inconvenient for me to clean. To eliminate this inconvenience, I decided to minimize my stuff, switch to using wireless devices (bluetooth headphones, wireless chargers...), devices that integrate many features in one.

For rarely used items, I store them all in drawers to keep them neat and to prevent dust. In addition, I also bought a specialized box for cables and electrical sockets to make the working corner more organized and effectively prevent dust. The working corner has less stuff and is neater, so cleaning is much easier.

Three - Use a mini vacuum cleaner instead of a cleaning cloth or broom.

Of course, even though I have applied the above measures, I still have to clean my desk at least every 3 days. But instead of using a towel or broom, I bought a mini vacuum cleaner to clean faster.

This device costs only a few tens of thousands of dong, can remove dust, food crumbs, paper scraps and other small objects on the desk. Some types also have a water suction function, helping you easily clean up stains caused by spilled water. We suggest that you prioritize choosing a cordless vacuum cleaner for more convenient use.
