The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued official dispatch No. 1894 /B TNMT - VP dated March 26, 2024 to units , newspapers, magazines, institutes and schools under the Ministry on organizing activities to respond to the Day. Books and Reading Culture in Vietnam for the third time in 2024.
Pursuant to Decision No. 1862/QD-TTg dated November 4, 2021 of the Prime Minister on organizing Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day; implementing Plan No. 775/KH-BTTTT dated March 7, 2024 of the Ministry of Information and Communications on organizing the third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 (Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day) nationwide, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment ( TN & MT ) requests units , newspapers, magazines, institutes and schools under the Ministry to organize activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day.
The purpose is to promote the value of books and reading culture in the database system , information, and traditional documents of the Natural Resources and Environment sector; contribute to building a spiritual and cultural life, promote ethical values, and the tradition of studiousness of the nation in general and the Natural Resources and Environment sector in particular.
At the same time, develop a plan to implement activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in accordance with the functions and tasks of the units and practical requirements in a diverse and rich direction, combining traditional activities with modern organizational methods following the development trend of technology platforms and digital transformation.
Promote information and propaganda on the media of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment with appropriate forms about the purpose and meaning of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. Strengthen the mobilization and encouragement of cadres, civil servants , public employees , and workers to regularly read books at traditional libraries , digital libraries , and online libraries on the network environment; organize diverse reading promotion activities (reading paper books, e-books, etc.), associated with professional work ( professional expertise , training, fostering, scientific research, etc.), and cultural activities of the unit .
Directing units to promote the role of the library system, strengthen coordination and connection between libraries in the Ministry ; sharing content, meaning, and experiences from reading books for individuals and organizations.
Based on assigned functions, tasks and actual situation, organize appropriate activities to respond to the third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 such as: hanging banners, posters, organizing and propagating the movement to develop reading culture at the unit; promoting the value and role of book publications.
Pay attention to publishing, distributing and disseminating books and publications on natural resources and environment under its authority, promptly serving the task of state management of natural resources and environment.
Strengthen propaganda and communication activities, organize events in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day and other related activities to enhance the purpose, meaning and role of books and reading culture in society. State management of natural resources and environment.
Propagate and honor organizations and individuals with many outstanding achievements in composing, publishing, printing, and distributing; library work, storage, collection, and promotion of book publications on natural resources and environment topics; Developing reading culture on media, newspapers, technology platforms, and social networks to connect readers and widely spread the value of books and reading culture in the community.
P coordinates to organize activities to respond to Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture in accordance with research, training and professional development; Strengthen editing, publishing, and distribution of books, scientific and professional documents, effectively serving the task of state management of natural resources and environment.
Participate in activities to respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications or a competent agency; Actively organize community activities on developing and releasing books and publications on natural resources and environment topics.
In addition, select and propose competent authorities to consider rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements on the occasion of summarizing and evaluating 20 years of implementing Directive No. 20-CT/TW dated January 27, 2003 of the Secretariat on improving the quality and effectiveness of publishing and distributing theoretical and political books in the new situation.
Strengthening the application of information technology and digital transformation to publish electronic publications, gradually replacing traditional publications.
